Dentist Sentenced For Wire Fraud In Austin; 2 Million In Restitution With 3 Years Of Jail

Austin, Texas: A man has been sentenced to three years in prison following his conviction for wire fraud.

Per court documents, Clinton Herzog, aged 49, deceived investors in his dental practices by taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from them during 2016-18.

Investors have agreed to provide capital investments in limited liability companies established by Herzog to manage dental practices. Herzog promised to ensure that the limited liability companies would not mix investor funds with assets belonging to anyone else.

Herzog consistently disregarded the limited liability company agreements by mixing investor funds with his funds and using investors’ money for personal expenses, such as lavish meals, airline tickets, travel costs, alcohol, and jewelry.

Furthermore, apart from the three-year prison sentence, the court has imposed a three-year supervised release term on Herzog and has mandated him to pay $2,182,760.63 in restitution.
