Daylight Heist: Armed Robbers Steal From Brinks Truck in Pennsylvania
Authorities are currently on the lookout for two individuals who, armed with long guns, brazenly stole a substantial sum of money from a Brinks armored truck in Pennsylvania during daylight hours.
A robbery occurred outside an AutoZone in Delaware County, where two suspects attacked the driver, stole his weapon, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money around noon on Tuesday.
The district attorney’s office has shared images of the car used by the two suspects to escape, a Nissan Pathfinder. They have also provided a photo of a different vehicle with the same license plate, clarifying that it is unrelated to the robbery and not under investigation.
Photos of the suspects and their attire have been made public by the authorities as per ABC News.
The authorities have identified the areas of Darby Township and Chester City as locations where the vehicle they are looking for is often seen.
Authorities are urging caution as the firearms used in the robbery have not yet been found.
There have been multiple instances of armored truck robberies in the Philadelphia area since last October. In March, a truck heist caused a suburban neighborhood to be placed under a shelter-in-place order. Similarly, in October, another heist resulted in an armored truck driver being shot outside a Bank of America in South Philadelphia, as reported by Philadelphia ABC station WPVI.
