Crash Blocks All Lanes of Southbound I-5, Causing Traffic Delays
San Diego, CA: Following a crash that blocked all lanes at Palomar Airport Road, southbound Interstate 5 came to a total stop on Saturday morning.
At 5:49 a.m., Caltrans San Diego announced the closure and confirmed that traffic was being rerouted at the exit.
At 4:40 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported a collision involving three automobiles. The collision occurred a little to the north of Palomar Airport Road.
The CHP has confirmed that the event was fatal; however, as of right now, no other information is available. Caltrans San Diego reported that all southbound I-5 lanes have reopened at nine in the morning.
