Miami Standard (Miami-Dade County, FL) – A 71-year-old man’s visit to the Caliente Adult Superstore in Hialeah took a turn for the worse earlier this month when a woman he encountered there proposed a sexual encounter, brought him to her hotel, and subsequently stole his Rolex, according to deputies.
Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office took into custody 28-year-old Johnnika Alexander from Corona, California, on Tuesday, facing two felony charges related to theft.
A senior encountered Alexander while he was shopping at the store situated at 1820 W. Eighth Ave. on March 5, as detailed in an MDSO arrest report.
According to deputies, the man remembered observing her arrive at the store accompanied by another individual in a Mercedes-Benz. The document reveals that she “went up to (him) and proposed a sexual encounter, inviting him to her hotel room,” which he agreed to.
Surveillance footage from the shop captured her purchasing a set of “dark undergarments,” according to the report.
Officials reported that he permitted her to take his car to transport him to MotelX located at 7000 NW 27th Ave. in the unincorporated Gladeview region.

As their meeting drew to a close, deputies reported that Alexander insisted the elderly man take off his gold Presidential Rolex watch. Despite his refusal, they reported, she managed to “forcefully” take it during a struggle for the luxury watch.
Authorities reported that as the man attempted to use his cellphone to contact law enforcement, Alexander sprayed him with pepper spray, seized his phone and wallet, which she subsequently abandoned in the parking lot during her escape.
Officials confirmed the identification of the Mercedes-Benz linked to Alexander, who had rented it from Enterprise at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Additionally, images from past arrests corresponded with surveillance footage, revealing unique shoulder tattoos.
Authorities reported that mobile data also indicated her presence at both the adult store and the crime scene.
Deputies apprehended Alexander at the Kompose Boutique Hotel Miami Airport located at 3401 NW 25th St. on Tuesday, facing charges of armed robbery and battery against an individual aged 65 or older.
As of Wednesday, she remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre without the option for bond.
