Convicted Murderer Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Texas; Child Trafficking Ring also Busted with another Arrest
Authorities from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office made a significant arrest in Taylor, resulting in the apprehension of five individuals involved in a drug-related incident. An additional charge of trafficking a child for sexual conduct was added during the investigation.
WCSO recently carried out a search warrant in Taylor, leading to the apprehension of five individuals on charges of possessing a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine. This development was announced in a news release by the agency on Wednesday.
The individual in question, Edward Tito Garza, has a troubling past with a record of violent and drug-related offenses. This includes a conviction for murder in 1992, as well as multiple arrests for evading arrest, failing to identify as a fugitive, and various drug charges, according to WCSO.
In addition, Garza has been charged with the serious offense of trafficking a child for sexual conduct. Claudia Gaspar has been taken into custody and is facing charges related to human trafficking as reported by KXAN.
According to WCSO, Garza’s bond was set at $600,000, while Gaspar’s bond was set at $75,000.
Officials have identified Garza and Gaspar out of the five individuals who were arrested.
