Convicted Killer Scott Peterson Case Taken by Los Angeles Innocence Project

Los Angeles, CA: The Los Angeles Innocence Project has taken a new case. This time the convict is Scott Peterson, who was found guilty of murdering his pregnant wife and unborn child.

They want proof from the first trial where Peterson was found guilty of killing his 27-year-old pregnant wife Laci Peterson, who went missing on Christmas Eve 2002, and their unborn child Conner.

In April 2003, Laci Peterson’s body was found in San Francisco Bay.

Peterson’s supporters have concentrated on the alleged burglars of a residence directly opposite his own, alleging that they may have been responsible for the death of his wife.

The slayers have landed the 51-year-old Mule Creek State Prison in California, where he is presently awaiting life in prison.

In 2020, after the revelation of improper dismissal of prospective jury candidates, the California Supreme Court reversed Peterson’s previously imposed death sentence; however, the court upheld his conviction.

In central and Southern California, the Los Angeles Innocence Project offers pro bono legal and investigative services to individuals convicted of crimes they did not commit, as stated on their website.
