Congressman and Physician Claims President Biden’s Health in Decline, Calls for Strong Leadership
According to the only practicing physician from North Carolina in Congress, President Joe Biden’s health has “obviously had a decline” and the United States is now lacking a leader “to stand strong, to think well, to think hard for the American people in times of crisis.
Murphy has taken tremendous delight in his 35 years of practice as a physician, he added. “A lot of older individuals” are his specialization, according to the urologist. In the wake of his announcement that he will undergo surgery to remove a tumor called a pituitary macroadenoma from the base of his skull, he took a brief vacation from Washington, DC, on May 21.
Murphy, one of the nineteen active-duty doctors in the House of Representatives, claimed that “the White House, by many people in politics, even people of celebrity status” had concealed Biden’s health diagnosis.
Biden was publicly urged not to seek reelection by ten of his party’s congressional members as the day started. Reps. Lloyd Doggett of Texas, Raúl Grijalva of Arizona, Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, Mike Quigley of Illinois, Angie Craig of Minnesota, Adam Smith of Washington, Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey, Pat Ryan of New York, and Earl Blumenauer of Oregon are among them. Sen. Peter Welch of Vermont is also participating.
“He’s obviously had a decline in the ability to think, to react, to assimilate data,” Murphy said. “What we’re facing now is a country that – we were always at risk, we were always in peril of other forces coming in from the outside. We now have a president that, by and large, the majority of individuals do not feel he is up to the task.
“Even more concerning is the fact that the media, the White House, political figures on that side, have lied to the American people. And so, I’m concerned about the president’s health now. He’s in my prayers. But we need a president of the United States that is able to stand strong, to think well, to think hard for the American people in times of crisis. And sadly enough, today we don’t have one.”
No one has challenged Biden’s determination to remain in the presidential race, including his wife Jill and Vice President Kamala Harris. Each of the three has made appearances on the North Carolina campaign trail following Biden’s debate with Trump on June 27.
