Chickens Hit The Road in Los Angeles After Escaping From Truck
Los Angeles, CA: Around 100 chickens fled from “Peking Poultry” during the night, which is situated in the 700 block of North Broadway in Chinatown.
An incident occurred during the process of transferring hens onto a truck, causing 100 birds to escape onto North Broadway, located just north of Downtown Los Angeles, shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were summoned to assist in managing traffic and apprehending the avian creatures. A few altruistic individuals witnessed the disturbance and halted to aid the workers and authorities. A single Uber driver successfully captured numerous birds unassisted.
The traffic in the vicinity was halted and reduced in speed as the team endeavored to confine the birds. The exact number of hens that remained unaccounted for is uncertain, as they were visible in multiple directions for several city blocks.
