Dramatic dash camera footage has emerged of a thrilling police pursuit in Miami-Dade, Florida. The heart-pounding chase concluded with the driver making a daring leap off a concrete ramp and plunging into the water below.

As per the Miami-Dade Police Department, a 27-year-old named Melina Logan visited a Honda dealership in South Miami on May 9 for a test drive of a 2024 Honda Civic.

According to authorities, Logan allegedly took advantage of the situation after the test drive with a car dealership employee. They claim that Logan waited for the salesperson to leave the vehicle and then quickly drove off with the car.

The dealership promptly notified the local police and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

An FHP officer eventually noticed Logan on the interstate and tried to pull him over, according to the affidavit.

A video from a police dashcam, obtained by FOX 35 Orlando, shows Logan driving in a dangerous manner and making abrupt lane changes.

According to the affidavit, Logan was reported to have reached a speed of 90 mph while making rapid lane changes in heavy traffic. Additionally, she utilized the paved shoulder as a means to navigate around the congested traffic.

The thrilling pursuit reached its climax when Logan encountered a sudden halt in traffic and collided with multiple vehicles before ultimately crashing into a concrete ramp.
