Car Vandalism Spree in San Diego; Multiple Neighborhoods affected and dozens of cars shattered
San Diego, CA: The windshields of at least twelve vehicles traveling along Friars Rd. in Mission Valley were totally destroyed. Two San Diego communities were hit hard by the frightening wave of vandalism, which made several residents anxious.
The vandalism has left a wake of destruction and trouble for the owners, who must now deal with the ordeal of fixing their vehicle.
“Stuff like that is scary. That is very disturbing,” said longtime Mission Valley resident, Melanie Henry.
“My husband and I were riding our bikes, I counted 15,” said Henry.
At least one car in Kensington had a damaged window, and other others had spray paint on them.
The San Diego Police Department has stated that they are looking into the matter. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
“I’ve had three different cars broken into over several years. It’s scary. It’s scary because it’s like someone maybe braking into your home…. It’s your possession and someone is invading it,” said another victim.
