Car Bursts Into Flames After Hitting Tree in Wisconsin, Killing Driver in Menomonee Falls

Menomonee Falls, WI – A fatal crash in Menomonee Falls on Tuesday afternoon left one person dead after their vehicle veered off the road, struck a tree, and burst into flames, according to police.

Officers from the Menomonee Falls Police Department responded to the scene around 3:35 p.m. on Lannon Road, where they found a 2007 Toyota Corolla engulfed in flames east of the roadway. The Menomonee Falls Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire, but the driver was pronounced dead inside the vehicle.

Authorities believe speed may have been a contributing factor, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other details have been released at this time.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward as the investigation continues.
