Miami Standard (San Francisco, CA) – Drivers are facing an increase in the average price of a gallon of petrol, reflecting a typical seasonal rise, as reported by AAA.
A statement from AAA on Thursday indicated that fuel costs usually begin to rise around this period and hit their highest point during the summer months.
As of Thursday, the typical cost for a gallon of regular petrol in California stands at approximately $4.67, a decrease from $5.01 during the same period last year.
The state’s present average continues to exceed the national average of $3.16.
On June 14, 2022, the state saw its peak average price for a gallon of petrol, reaching $6.44. At the same time, the peak average price for diesel reached $7.01 per gallon on June 18, 2022.
The average price for regular petrol in San Diego stands at $4.70 per gallon.
