Authorities in Pennsylvania arrested a man after he tried to kill his sister as a sacrifice to the devil.

According to authorities, 20-year-old D’andre McCaslin reportedly claimed to Bellefonte police officers that he was compelled by external forces to harm his sister on Friday night, as a way to atone for his past mistakes and benefit his family.

He is currently in custody at the Centre County Correctional Facility, and according to Bellefonte Police, the timely arrival of the officers prevented a potentially more dire outcome.

The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, June 7, as stated in the criminal complaint. According to reports, two officers were sent to the incident site on Beaver Farm Lane in Bellefonte, which happens to be situated just behind Bellefonte Area High School.

Upon entering, they discovered McCaslin on the lower level and the victim in a state of distress on the upper level. According to reports, the victim’s face displayed a purplish hue, accompanied by multiple rash marks on her neck. Investigators suspect that these marks may be indicative of strangulation.
