Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Police have released body camera footage of the aftermath of a sucker punch captured on camera in Fort Lauderdale.
It happened around 12:45 a.m. on March 1 outside Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, located at 21 W. Las Olas Boulevard.
According to police, as the victim walked inside to order dinner, two men began talking to his girlfriend.
The victim challenged the males, and one of them sucker struck him, knocking his head to the ground as he slumped backwards.
When police arrived, they arrested suspect Movement to reuse, repurpose running shoes growing in South Florida, 23, of Cumming, Georgia.
“You sucker punched him, the whole thing is on video, you sucker punched him,” one of the policemen says in the footage.
Gunn can be heard begging for an attorney on body camera video.
Officers then speak with the victim and his girlfriend.
The victim first declined to seek charges, but changed his mind after being hospitalised with a brain bleed.
Surveillance video shows the man clad in white throwing the punch and then fleeing.
The female in the video then pursues the man clothed in black.
Broward prosecutors filed a case against Gunn in March.
On June 11, he handed himself in for a felony violence charge with serious bodily harm.
