‘Blank Space’ Singer Stalker Arrested Outside Her Apartment
New York City: NYPD arrested a person outside of Taylor Swift’s New York City apartment on Saturday after they say he tried to break in.
“David” (changed name) was caught by the cops on the street in Tribeca staring into the windows of Swift’s lobby. After he allegedly tried to break in, he was put in handcuffs and taken away in a police car.
In a statement, the NYPD said, “On Saturday, January 20, 2024, at about 13:35 hours, police responded to a 911 call for a disorderly person along Franklin Street in the 1st Precinct.” People told the cops that the person had been trying to open a door to a building at the scene when they arrived. The person was arrested after an investigation showed they had an active warrant.
There was a call about a “disorderly person,” according to the NYPD. However, people who saw what happened say the suspect was “pretty civil” the whole time.
People who are after Swift have broken into her home before. In June 2023, a man was charged with stalking, intimidating, invasion of privacy, and harassment. She told Elle in 2018 that she always has bandages on hand for gunshots or stab wounds because she is afraid of stalkers and other people who might be dangerous.
