Big Drug Bust in Schenectady, K9 detects 30 pounds of Drugs
Schenectady, NY: A woman was arrested in Schenectady on Thursday by State Police for being found with over 30 pounds of drugs.
On February 29, 2024, Cynthia M. Murdock, 36, of Jefferson, was arrested by The New York State Police Troop G Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (V.G.N.E.T.) after a thorough investigation in collaboration with the Schenectady Police Department Special Investigations Unit and the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit – Electronic Surveillance Unit.

It was discovered that Murdock was heading to the Schenectady area with the intention of trafficking narcotics. After a surveillance operation in the City of Schenectady, Murdock was found with around 30 lbs. of Methamphetamine and 42 grams of Cocaine.
Murdock was taken into custody at the location and transferred to SP Latham for further procedures. The individual faced charges for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the second degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree.
She was later brought before the City of Schenectady Court and sent to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility with no bail.
The inquiry into this matter is still in progress.
