Big Day- 550 Students will Graduate from Uni. of Idaho this Saturday

Moscow, Idaho: December 9 will witness the University of Idaho’s 2023 Winter Commencement Ceremony in ICCU Arena in Moscow.

The university will grant 607 degrees to over 550 students. The ceremony will start at 9:30 am and will last up to 2:00 pm.

For 391 bachelor’s degrees, 140 master’s degrees, 29 doctorates, 12 juris doctorates, four associate degrees, and two specialist degrees, the 555 qualified students submitted applications.
Since its founding, the University of Idaho has awarded over 141,399 degrees to approximately 131,895 graduates.

The commencement speaker will be Skip Oppenheimer ’68, chairman and CEO of Oppenheimer Companies Inc. and president of Oppenheimer Development Corp.
The university has security protocols for big events that require attendees to go through metal detectors and bring clear bags. Students who are graduating will not be allowed to bring bags.

According to university policy, no weapons—including knives and firearms—are allowed inside the venue. Permit holders for concealed carry are subject to this rule.

U of I has a tobacco-free campus. Only authorized areas of university property may be used for the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
