Authorities Reveal International Connection with the Doral House Robbery as the Burglar has Colombian Gang Affiliation

Port St. Lucie, FL: The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) found an interesting twist in their investigation of a burglary in Doral. It turns out that one of the suspects, who are believed to be part of a theft group from South America, had previously committed a theft in Port St. Lucie.

Angel Alejandro Rojas-Morales was allegedly involved in a group that focuses on targeting the homes of Asian business owners. They employ various tactics such as counter surveillance, surveillance cameras, GPS trackers, and radio jammers to scout and carry out the burglaries.

In November, Rojas-Morales was apprehended for taking a safe, $10,000 in cash, and multiple pieces of jewelry from a residence on SW Addie Street in Port St. Lucie, just a few blocks east of Florida’s Turnpike.
PSLPD detectives quickly collaborated with various law enforcement agencies throughout South Florida, such as the South Florida Task Force, the Doral Police Department, and the sheriff’s offices in Palm Beach County and Broward County. Working in collaboration, they discovered additional vehicles associated with the crime and initiated their surveillance.
