Authorities Looking for Man Who Assaulted Minor in New Jersey
Jersey City, NJ: Authorities are looking for a 22-year-old Easton man on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teen in Warren County’s Washington Township, according to the county prosecutor.
According to a press release issued by the prosecutor’s office on Tuesday afternoon, the alleged suspect is Michael Davenport from Easton. He is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Davenport used Snapchat to locate underage girls. He started dating an underage girl when he was 20 using the same app. The girl at that time was 14.
In New Jersey, the minimum sentence for second-degree crimes is five years in prison. For crimes of the third degree, the minimum sentence is three years in jail.
