Authorities ID’d Alleged Killer of Richmond Famous and Loved Deer
The Law Enforcement Division of the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources reports that it has identified the individuals suspected of unlawfully killing a deer at Hollywood Cemetery.
According to locals in Richmond, the deer had a large following and had existed for at least ten years. People called the deer “Prince,” “Hollywood,” or “Billy.”
According to DWR, after speaking with the main suspect, police discovered that the deer had been unlawfully killed. Although the individuals remain unidentified, DWR reports that charges are still pending as the investigation moves forward.
The DWR website states that hunting is not allowed on city land. The authorities have not disclosed the identities of the suspects.
