Authorities Bust Drug Ring in Nashville, Seize Cocaine, Marijuana, and Firearms
An individual with a criminal record has been apprehended for reportedly engaging in the illicit sale of drugs from his residence in Nashville.
Metro Police have reported that Leonard Talley, aged 64, was allegedly involved in drug dealing activities from his residence on Clifton Avenue. Following numerous complaints from the neighborhood, surveillance footage of the home reveals a consistent flow of people and vehicles arriving at and departing from the residence.
Authorities conducted a raid on Wednesday, targeting two neighboring residences. During the operation, detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division and SWAT officers discovered a significant amount of cocaine, marijuana, firearms, and cash.
Authorities seized 4.5 pounds of cocaine, including one bag that also tested positive for fentanyl, 5 ounces of crack cocaine, 1.3 pounds of marijuana, a stolen pistol from Clarksville, and $4,039 in cash.

“The MNPD is grateful to members of the community who, through their alert observations and reporting of the activities on Clifton Avenue, helped shutdown an active illegal drug operation in their neighborhood,” a release from police said.
During the raid, authorities discovered that Talley had been responsible for paying utility bills and had possession of the keys to a nearby residence. This neighboring home contained several firearms, including an AR-15 rifle that had been stolen in a vehicle burglary in Nashville in 2020. Additionally, a Glock pistol, a shotgun, another rifle, a ballistic vest, and a sum of $5,386 in cash were confiscated.
Talley was at home when detectives arrived and was arrested without any trouble. The individual is currently in custody with a bond set at $326,000. The charges against him include felonies related to cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, and firearms.
According to authorities, he was found guilty of a serious cocaine offense in 2014 and received a primarily probated eight-year sentence. In 2013, he was found guilty of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and was given a two-year sentence, mostly suspended.
