Arson Suspect & Homeless Woman Arrested in San Diego by the Authorities
San Diego, CA: Authorities arrested Mavis Williams, 43, in the early hours of Sunday on suspicion that she started a fire in the garages of an apartment complex in El Cajon. Williams was the suspect in the incident.
Williams was located in the 700 block of E. Bradley Avenue by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, which received information about the location of the suspect just before 1:30 p.m.
Presently detained at the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility, she is accused of intentionally instigating the fire at El Cajon Apartment Garage.
Flames consumed a row of garages at the Terraza Hills apartment complex on Thursday night, causing the evacuation of several families. She will be presented in court on Thursday and her bond amount is set at $50,000.
