Arrests Made After Serious Crash Involving Teenage Robbery Suspects On Chicago’s South Side

Chicago, IL: Three teenagers injured in a serious car crash on Chicago’s South Side Sunday night.

Chicago police report a 50-year-old man’s account of being robbed by three offenders at gunpoint. The perpetrators quickly escaped the area in a black SUV, according to his statement.

Soon after, the SUV collided with a median in the 6300 block of State Street and overturned. Three individuals, aged 15 and 16, were taken into custody. A weapon has been found.

Two individuals were transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, while another person was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

The Illinois State Police have stated that the SUV being driven by the teenagers was reported stolen in a carjacking incident on Sunday.
