Arkansas Drug Gang Bust Nets 23 Arrests with 322 citations; Arms and Narcotics Confiscated by Cops
Over the course of less than 48 hours, the Arkansas State Police Department has made a total of 23 arrests and handed out 372 citations in Crittenden County as part of a collaborative operation.
During the 33-hour saturation that took place on May 9-10, several individuals were charged with felonies related to the possession of guns, drugs, DWI, and fleeing.
The ASP confiscated 11 firearms, recovered two stolen vehicles, and seized a range of illegal drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and prescription drugs.
ASP troopers have reportedly made 11 arrests for individuals driving while intoxicated (DWI). A total of 29 citations were issued for speeding, while 7 were given for seat belt violations and another 7 for child restraint violations.
According to the ASP, there were five vehicle pursuits during the saturation period.
Finally, there were 40 citations for hazardous violations and 201 citations for non-hazardous violations. According to reports, law enforcement had 795 interactions with individuals within 33 hours.
A collaborative effort between the ASP’s Patrol Division, West Memphis Police Department, Marion Police Department, and Cross County Sheriff’s Office resulted in a successful joint law enforcement operation.
