Alabama to Pursue Death Penalty for Bainbridge Man Accused of Killing 20-year-old Dothan Resident
If found guilty of killing 20-year-old Sincere Tyson of Dothan, Alabama, the state of Alabama will seek the death sentence against a Bainbridge man.
Tyson’s mother reported that he called 911 when Jacoiah Harrell, Solomon Cooper, and Zycheria Russ unlawfully entered his residence in October 2021 and shot him while he was asleep. Tyson passed away at the hospital. All individuals involved have been formally charged with the crime of capital murder.
“June 25th is a special day for Lerwanna McClinden, as it marks her son’s 23rd birthday,” shared Tyson’s mother. Many individuals enjoy the experience of bringing their child to a restaurant, perhaps indulging in a cocktail and some cake together… I don’t understand. “I will release 23 balloons to honor my son.”
Alabama’s stance on capital murder is clear: the punishment for this offense is either death or life in prison without the possibility of parole. The Houston County District Attorney’s Office has revealed its intention to pursue the death penalty for Jacoiah Harrell, should he be convicted, as reported by WALB News.
The three suspects are currently being held without bond at the Houston County Jail, as stated in jail records. Tyson’s mother tragically shared that his life was taken away on the same day as his niece’s birthday. The upcoming hearing for Solomon Cooper is scheduled to take place on the solemn three-year anniversary of Tyson’s passing.
