A teacher in Florida sent sexually explicit messages and nude photos to a pupil who was underage.

Miamistandard– After reportedly having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage student, a former substitute teacher from Florida was arrested.
On January 21, a criminal complaint was filed in Polk County against Chase Crabb, 23, which led to an inquiry into his activities with a 16-year-old student. According to a statement made by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, which was published with WFLA, a local NBC affiliate, Crabb met the girl, whose name has not been disclosed, in December 2023 when he was working as a substitute teacher at Haines City High School. It is said that they began communicating through email before moving on to social media and text messages. According to the police, the talks between Crabb and the girl, who was 15 years old at the time, took a sordid turn after she told him that she had broken up with her boyfriend.
Crabb and the girl corresponded with each other over TikTok, Discord, and Instagram, as well as through text messages on their phones, according to the material that the sheriff’s office released to the press. Crabb is accused of sending sexually explicit texts to the girl over the course of a year, from December 2023 to December 2024. These messages included pictures of his crotch. He is reportedly said to have requested that she email him nude images of herself and tried to get her to have sex with him.
Crabb supposedly sent the girl a series of messages that suggested he was aware that his actions were not acceptable. For example, he said, “Uhhhhh, I mean is it wrong for me to be sexually attracted to a minor?” WHO MADE THAT STATEMENT? He is also said to have expressed his preference for ladies who are underage, saying, “Nah cause they won’t be interesting [adult females] It’s more fun to groom heh.”
The kid notified her mother last month about the sexually explicit communications that she was receiving from Crabb, who she referred to as “Mr. Chase.” last information was reported by the local news outlet Four Corners Sun. An investigation was conducted by the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after the complaint was made on January 21. This investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
Crabb was taken into custody on January 22 and is currently being held without bond at the Polk County Jail. He was charged with two felonies: the transfer of harmful material to a juvenile and the unauthorized use of a two-way communication equipment.
In March 2024, Crabb’s last job was at Haines High School. According to Four Corners Sun, Crabb was a temporary employee who worked through Kelly Services, which terminated him because he was not active. Polk County Public Schools has never received a complaint regarding Crabb acting inappropriately with pupils.
Crabb was ordered to keep away from children and to avoid using electronic devices that have access to the internet when he made his first appearance in court on January 23. He is supposed to show up in court on February 25 for his felony arraignment.
