One person died after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Pinewood, according to Miami-Dade Sheriff

An investigation is ongoing in Pinewood Sunday morning after one individual was killed in a hit-and-run crash, according to deputies.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived to Northwest 115th St. and Seventh Avenue before 4 a.m. after receiving complaints of a person being struck.

When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived on location, they discovered a guy who had been struck and was confirmed deceased.

The man’s identify has not been revealed.

Deputies were seen on video hunting for clues in the vicinity.

Debris, a shoe, a cap, and what seemed to be a yellow tarp were discovered in the vicinity.

According to deputies, the suspect left their vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
