Miami Beach, Florida – On Sunday, a boat caught fire on the ocean, sending a massive column of smoke into the air near the Government Cut shipping route off Miami Beach.

The fire started shortly after 10 a.m., and smoke could be seen for miles.

Crews from the United States Coast Guard provided photos of their response.

According to officials, five persons were on board when the fire started.

A Good Samaritan carried the boaters to land, and they are all well, according to officials.

Investigators have not revealed the cause of the fire.
