Miami Heat are ready to trade All-Star talent after missing out on the Kevin Durant trade

The Miami Heat were one of a few teams looking to deal for future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant. Despite being one of just three teams on Durant’s chosen list of landing locations, the Phoenix Suns chose to trade the 15-time All-Star to the Houston Rockets. So, what comes next for the Heat?

Miami is still looking to improve its roster around Bam Adebayo this offseason, and it is allegedly willing to shop another All-Star to do so.

According to Brett Siegel of Clutch Points, the Heat have put one-time All-Star Andrew Wiggins on the trading block.

“After failing to complete a trade for Durant, teams are wondering what the Miami Heat will do next. Miami continues to make Andrew Wiggins available in trade negotiations and is willing to part up the 20th selection in the NBA Draft for an upgrade with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, according to sources.

Clutch Points for Miami Heat Trade Plans

Wiggins recently moved to Miami as part of the trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors. However, this rumor suggests he is not a crucial member of coach Erik Spoelstra’s core.

However, if the Heat are looking for a new potential star to join their core, determining Wiggins’ market value makes a lot of sense. While he’s moved around to three different clubs since being selected first overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, Wiggins has built a successful career that includes a championship ring.

However, the Heat do not appear to see him as an important component of their present lineup, and someone else may benefit from Wiggins’ abilities.
