Miami Gardens, Florida – Police are looking into a possible shooting that occurred on a popular South Florida highway.

On Tuesday night, it happened on the eastbound lanes of State Road 826 near Northwest 47th Avenue in Miami Gardens.

First responders took a young woman to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, but there has been no word on her condition.

Local 10’s cameras caught the woman’s arrival to the hospital.

Police have yet to release any formal details regarding the suspected shooting.

As a result of the event, traffic on the Palmetto Expressway became backed up.
