No Social Security Payments Scheduled Between May 5–12: Here’s the Full May 2025 Payment Timeline

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has confirmed that there will be no payments issued between May 5 and May 12, leaving retirees, disabled individuals, widows, and veterans waiting until May 14 for their next benefits.

May is shaping up to have one of the latest Social Security payment schedules of the year. However, as usual, retirees who started receiving benefits before 1997 saw their payments arrive early this month—on May 2 instead of the typical May 3 date.

In addition to the delayed timeline, May brings a rare twist: a double SSI payment. Because June 1 falls on a Sunday, the SSI payment for June will be issued early, on May 30. This adjustment means the SSA will make a total of six disbursements this month.
