Five People Are Shot and Killed at a Memphis Restaurant

IN MEMPHIS, Tenn.— Memphis Police say that four people were hurt and one guy died in a shooting overnight at a restaurant in Parkway Village.

Police say they were called to the 2871 South Perkins Road just before 10 p.m. because someone had been shot. The police said the man was dead at the scene.

In addition, four more guys who had been shot were found at the scene. Then they were taken to Regional One Hospital. Three of them were in serious condition, but one wasn’t.

It’s still not clear who fired the shots at this point. WREG saw a wall outside the restaurant with several big bullet holes in it.

Police said that since January, they have been called to 86 different incidents within a half-mile radius of this one for things like attacks, murders, robberies, and weapons violations.

The WREG teams are at the scene and are trying to learn more. There will be changes to this story.
