Mother Storms Las Vegas School, Allegedly Threatens Teacher Over Comment About Daughter

The mother of a middle school-aged child went into a Las Vegas classroom and threatened to kill a teacher for reportedly calling her daughter “slow.”

Abraham Camejo, a concerned father, brought up the March 28 incident at Bailey Middle School during a Clark County School District Bond Oversight Committee meeting.

“As a father, I can’t sit here and not prepare to protect our students,” he stated on Tuesday.

According to emails shared with KSNV, the mom invaded the school’s campus during instructional time and threatened to shoot and kill the instructor for insulting her child.

Before being hauled out of the classroom, the mother threatened another student.

“She spent 20 minutes in the parking lot telling us how she would put the school on hard lockdown, and even mentioned that our school was way too easy to gain access,” Camejo said of the emails.

He and other parents are urging that the district speed the construction of a gate, which is currently scheduled to be completed in early 2027. Since 2020, several district officials have requested the installation of a school gate.

Dr Eva White, who formerly served on the school’s organisational committee, said campus authorities had informed her that they were trying to increase security at the institution.

Cindy Lopez, a middle school parent, told the newspaper she had only recently learnt about the event.

“It scares me to be honest, because it could have been towards a student here,” she told me. “I feel like the fence would help out a lot so that this incident wouldn’t happen again, or to you know, a student.”

A spokeswoman told the television station that the district is working on security measures and providing a single point of entrance to the school.

District officials also filed a warrant against the parent for disrupting a school and threatening a school staff.
