95-year-old Mother Beaten to Death by 60-year-old Intoxicated Son in Michigan; Authorities Charged Son for Gruesome Killing
Detroit, MI- A 60-year-old man from Michigan has been charged with murder for allegedly beating his 95-year-old mother to death, according to officials.
John Miko faces serious charges for the tragic death of his mother, Clara Miko.
In the late hours of Saturday, July 27, Clara Miko urgently contacted emergency services, recounting a series of distressing incidents involving her son. She expressed fear for her life, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation to the operator.
Deputies responded to the woman’s residence in Denton Township and discovered her lying on the floor of her garage apartment. According to the sheriff’s office, she was unable to move and sustained severe injuries.
An interview was conducted with the victim regarding the incident prior to her transportation to a nearby hospital. Tragically, Clara Miko succumbed to her injuries later that day.
John Miko was discovered at the primary residence, where he appeared to be under the influence and uncooperative with deputies.
It was revealed that John Miko was currently on active probation due to a prior domestic assault.
An individual has been apprehended and is currently being held in the county jail on a bond amounting to $100,000,000.
