91-Year-Old Critically Injured After Hit by Corolla

Following Saturday night’s car accident in Normal Heights, a 91-year-old pedestrian was sent to the hospital with critical injuries.

At 6:17 p.m. on Saturday, San Diego Police responded to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Normal Heights, at Felton Street and Adams Avenue.

After being struck by a Toyota Corolla while crossing the street, the 91-year-old male pedestrian was brought to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the San Diego Police watch commander confirmed.
The cause of the accident and whether charges would be brought are now unknown, according to the SDPD, who also state that the driver remained at the site.

As they cleared the area, the SDPD blocked Adams Avenue going west from Felton Street. There is no indication that alcohol played a role in this collision.
