8-year-old girl sucked into pool pipe; Dead Body recovered after 13 hours in Houston

Houston, TX: An 8-year-old girl died after she was sucked into a pipe in a pool where she was swimming in a hotel in Houston.

Tragically, a family was staying at a hotel in Houston when their 8-year-old daughter drowned in the pool after getting dragged into a pipe.

After her death, the youngster was identified as Aliyah Jaico, and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science stated that she died from “drowning and mechanical asphyxia” in an apparent accident. But according to reports in the local media, the pipe isn’t working properly, and the pool allegedly has numerous violations.

It was said that the little girl dived under the sea and never came up again. In a last-ditch effort to find her, the pool was drained.

Following the draining of the pool, a camera was inserted into a conduit that extended more than 20 feet into the building. When they couldn’t free her, they discovered her there, dead from drowning.

Reportedly, everything came down to a faulty filter, as one of the pipes was meant to drain water and the other to draw it in. Because of their confusion, the pipe that should have been releasing water ended up absorbing it. Despite the haziness of the pipes’ dimensions, the girl was sucked in by them.

“The main drain document was provided and is still valid,” the Houston Health Department stated after Monday’s inspection. Nevertheless, the walls of the little pool feature 32-inch channel drains, but there is no legitimate documentation specifying their purpose, installation date, or expiration date. There were several infractions found during the thorough inspection.

Upon analyzing the hotel’s security footage, the team noticed that the girl never left the pool, but it wasn’t until hours after her disappearance that they even considered checking the pipe. Her rescue took a little over thirteen hours.
