7 Bulldog Puppies Found But 1 Still Missing: MPD
A longing owner was reunited with her puppies in Southeast DC. 8 American bulldog puppies, only 5 weeks old, were stolen from outside of the victim’s house. Now, the owner got back her 7 puppies, but one is still missing.
The 5-week-old puppies are adorably sociable, cuddly, and very cute, so it’s difficult not to smile. It was so even more tragic when they were taken away.
Authorities claimed that at around noon on Saturday, the victim was putting the puppies in her Mazda CX-3, which was parked in the 1700 block of U Street SE. A police report states that she then entered her home and stayed there “for no more than two minutes.”
Police had located her car by the following morning, but the puppies were not in the car. She was a veterinary technician and a dog breeder, so she assumed the worst.
She started sharing updates about the missing puppies on social media with other breeders. The call she had been waiting for arrived on Sunday afternoon: someone had located seven of the puppies at Benning Road and 42nd Street NE and turned them into the police.
Police in Washington, D.C. are still looking for the person who took the animals and the car. The owner is hoping for a quick capture of the suspect.
The police had ruled out the possibility of the informant to one of the robbers. The police are looking for the suspect involved in the act.
All the puppies were taken to a vet and they were performing well. There were no injuries or signs of trauma to any of the dogs.
