Miami Standard (Houston, TX) – According to the Houston Animal Rescue Centre (BARC), the three canines that attacked and murdered a woman in Houston on Sunday night were pit bulls and Staffordshire Bull Terriers by breed.
According to the Houston Police Department, the body of a woman named Harriet Phillips, who was 65 years old, was discovered inside a residence located in the Northeastern portion of Houston inside the 8000 block of Wayside Village Way.
It was reported to the police that the dogs had broken over a fence that was shared by both parties in the backyard of the property.
The owner of the dogs, according to the police, did not happen to be present during the attack; however, he did see his neighbour drenched in blood on the back porch and phoned 911.
Each of the three canines has reportedly been put to sleep, as stated by animal control.
At this time, there have been no charges brought forward.
An accident was determined to be the primary cause of Phillips’ death by the medical examiner’s officer, who determined that the primary cause was multiple blunt and sharp force injuries.
