A man allegedly assaulted a 6-year-old girl and stole her and her sister’s gold necklaces in Brooklyn, according to the police.

Images of the wanted suspect were released by the police on Saturday. According to authorities, this individual is believed to be the person who approached a 14-year-old girl and her younger sister on Wednesday at their apartment building near Eastern Parkway and Ralph Avenue in Crown Heights.

According to the account, the older girl recounted a distressing incident where she and her sister were walking home from school. They found themselves trapped in the building’s cramped lobby as a man confronted them, demanding their necklaces – precious gifts from their mother.

“The man grabbed me by the neck, and then my sister looked, and she started getting scared,” recounted the 14-year-old girl to ABC 7. “I was unable to find the time. … I was unable to respond. I glanced over at my sister, only to find her screaming.

A suspect allegedly assaulted a 6-year-old girl, forcefully removing her necklace while choking her. The assailant also took the older sister’s jewelry before making a quick escape.

Both girls were transported to the Maimonides Medical Center and are currently in stable condition.

A description of the suspect includes an estimated age range of 25 to 40, a height of approximately 5 feet 8 inches, and dark hair styled in a ponytail.

According to officials, he was spotted wearing a white t-shirt and carrying a Target shopping bag. However, he later took out a gray hooded sweatshirt from the bag to conceal himself.
