Athens, GA: Authorities in Athens have made a significant breakthrough, resulting in the arrest of six individuals. A drug bust operation yielded a staggering $340k worth of methamphetamine, according to the local police department.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department reported that six individuals were apprehended following the confiscation of 39 kilograms of methamphetamine during a raid.
Authorities have reported the confiscation of drugs from two mobile home communities in Athens. Homes in the Hallmark community on Spring Valley Road and Pinewood Estates North Park on US Highway 29 North were raided by the police.
Six individuals face charges related to methamphetamine trafficking.
Police have reported the seizure of methamphetamine valued at over $340,000, along with a handgun and $32,000 in cash, as part of their ongoing investigation.
