4th Train Hit Death Reported in San Diego County
Carlsbad, California: The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported the 4th train accident that killed a man in Carlsbad.
The man was struck dead by a train on Monday. The collision happened at around 12:30 p.m. near the Carlsbad Village Station. This is the fourth death in San Diego resulting from a train accident.
According to law enforcement, the victim was suffering from injuries when Carlsbad police got on the scene. Although first responders made every effort to help the victim, he passed away later.
The train services were affected by the crash but it resumed after the primary investigation was completed. All services between San Diego and Los Angeles have been restored. The Pacific Surfliner Rail Service reported at 3:45 pm.
The authorities have not disclosed the identity of the man. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office is responsible for identifying the victim and informing the demise of the victim to the family.
