4K Street Gang Members Sent To Federal Prison in the City of Alachua

Alachua, FL: The final federal defendant was sentenced for drug trafficking and firearm crimes in connection with a collaborative federal and state investigation of the 4K criminal street gang in Alachua. Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the sentencing.
In 2018, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force initiated an investigation into the 4K gang in Alachua due to several gang-related shootings. The FBI collaborated with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and the Alachua Police Department to investigate the first shooting and subsequent shootings.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) assisted in investigating 4K’s drug-trafficking operations. From February 22, 2020, to May 20, 2020, the United States Attorney’s Office, FBI, and DEA secured six court-approved Title III wiretaps on telephones utilized by individuals involved in the drug trafficking scheme.

Federal search warrants were carried out on May 20, 2020, resulting in the federal arrest of four individuals. Additional defendants were indicted in June and August 2020.
The federally sentenced defendants consisted of 4K gang members, their associates, and others involved in distributing drugs to the 4K gang.
- Roddrae Antonio Williams, aged 32 from Alachua, Florida, has been sentenced to 480 months in prison, with an additional 10 years of supervised release.
- Elboric Quadarius Robinson, aged 32 from Alachua, Florida, has been sentenced to 336 months in prison, to be followed by 8 years of supervised release.
- Decoda Kadarrell King, aged 36 from Williston, Florida, has been sentenced to 168 months in prison, to be followed by 8 years of supervised release.
- Eric Jermaine Williams, aged 42 from Gainesville, Florida, has been sentenced to 104 months in prison, to be followed by 5 years of supervised release.
- Daniel Heath Willis, aged 30 from Alachua, Florida, has been sentenced to 96 months in prison, to be followed by 8 years of supervised release.
- Morris Cordell Robinson, Jr., aged 58 from Alachua, Florida, has been sentenced to 78 months in prison, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release.
- Gregory Lavough Williams, Jr., aged 44 from Yorba Linda, California, has been sentenced to 48 months in prison, to be followed by 4 years of supervised release.
- Rakeidra Alexandria Neal, aged 33 from Gainesville, Florida, was sentenced to 14.5 months in jail and 5 years of supervised release.
- Rayme Hernandez, aged 47 from Morriston, Florida, has been sentenced to 12 months and 1 day in jail, with an additional 8 years of supervised release.
- Tomeka Necole Bryant, aged 44 from Gainesville, Florida, sentenced to 12 months and 1 day in prison, and 2 years of supervised release.
- Edward Lashawn Garrison, Jr., aged 27 from Fort White, Florida, has been sentenced to 10 months in jail, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release.
- Lorenza Durr, aged 33 from Alachua, Florida, has been sentenced to 8 months in jail, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release.

The Eighth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office filed charges against the following individuals:
Hakiem Brockman, 25, from West Palm Beach, Florida, entered a plea of nolo contendere to charges of second-degree murder with discharge of a firearm causing death, conspiracy to conduct first-degree murder, and four counts of attempted first-degree murder with discharge of a firearm. Brockman was sentenced to 35 years in jail, with 25 years to be served without the possibility of early release.
McKenzley Edwards, aged 30 from Alachua, Florida, entered a plea of nolo contendere to multiple charges including attempted second degree murder with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with a witness, victim, or informant, conspiracy to commit premeditated first degree murder, and attempted murder. Edwards received a 25-year prison term, with 20 years to be served without the possibility of early release.
Kenzel Edwards, 28, from Alachua, Florida, entered a plea of nolo contendere for three charges of attempted second-degree murder with a firearm. He received a 15-year jail term, with 10 years to be served on a day-for-day basis.
Jeffery Robinson, Jr., aged 29 from Alachua, Florida, entered a plea of nolo contendere for being an accessory after the fact to murder and received a 5-year prison sentence.
Roddrae Williams, aged 32 from Alachua, Florida, admitted to conspiring to commit premeditated first-degree murder and is awaiting sentencing.

The convictions were the outcome of a collaborative investigation carried out by multiple law enforcement agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and various local police departments. Assistant United States Attorney James A. McCain handled the federal cases, while Assistant State Attorney Daniel Owen handled the state prosecutions.
