4-year-old Molested by Daycare Worker in Texas; Caregiver Arrested as Camera Recorded Alleged Abuse
An ex-employee at a daycare in Sachse has been charged with indecency with a child, and the child’s family is taking legal action against the daycare, claiming that surveillance footage provides evidence of the alleged sexual abuse.
An indictment has been issued following a report made by the mother of a 4-year-old boy to Sachse Police on Jan. 6, 2023. A 19-year-old named Efrain Jesus Bonilla has been arrested and is currently out on bond. He is facing one count of indecency with child-sexual contact in a case that is still pending.
A lawsuit was filed earlier this month, specifically on June 10, with the aim of seeking $1 million for the individual’s pain and suffering.
Russell Button, an attorney from the Button Law Firm in Dallas, is representing the family as reported by TylerMorningTelegraph.
“According to Button, the caregiver in question deliberately obstructed the camera’s view, warmed up his hands, positioned the child, and engaged in inappropriate touching,” Button reported.
Texas Health and Human Services has reported that the daycare was cited for failing to report the incident. According to online records, DFPS concluded an investigation on Jan. 10, 2023, and found evidence of child abuse at By the Barnyard Gate.
