4-Months Long Drug Probe in Ohio Finally Successful With 3 Arrests and Lot More

Cincinnati, OH: After an extensive four-month investigation, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Undercover Regional Narcotics Unit and the Cincinnati DEA announced the successful conclusion of their operation on Wednesday.

As a result, three individuals were apprehended and a significant amount of firearms, cash, and drugs with an estimated value of $100,000 were seized. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office played a crucial role in this operation.

Search warrants were executed at three different locations: West Worley Avenue in Trotwood, Rahway Court in Dayton, and Young Street in Middletown.

The sheriff’s office announced on Thursday that they have seized various items as part of their investigation. These items include 7.15 pounds of methamphetamine, 2.45 kilograms of cocaine, 11.01 ounces of fentanyl, $16,341 in cash, five guns, and a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado truck.

Two individuals, Christopher Doerr, 32, of Middletown and Raymond McClure, 42, of Trotwood, have been arrested. Both individuals face charges of possessing meth and cocaine with the intent to distribute. They have been taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Tavaris Gilbert, 28, of Middletown was also arrested in connection with the investigation. He is facing charges of having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony.

The sheriff’s office officials have confiscated enough drugs to potentially cause harm to a significant number of individuals.

Sheriff Richard Jones emphasized the collaborative nature of the investigation, with officers from the BURN Unit working together as a team. The investigation remains ongoing.
