A woman has been taken into custody following an incident where she allegedly stabbed and injured her parents at a residence near Sedona in the Village of Oak Creek on Saturday morning.

Early in the morning, deputies from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing incident at a residence near Coffee Pot Rock Drive and Highway 179.

The initial YCSO patrol sergeant encountered the suspect, 33-year-old Lauren Levinson, on the street near the home, according to authorities. Levinson has been apprehended.

YCSO reported that the sergeant entered the residence where the alleged stabbing took place and discovered the suspect’s parents, who had sustained multiple stab wounds.

According to YCSO, the suspect’s brother played a crucial role in assisting the sergeant with life-saving measures for their parents. They effectively stopped the blood flow from their mother’s wounds and created a tourniquet for their father’s arm.

The Sedona Fire Department quickly arrived and assumed control of the life-saving measures. The parents were transported to separate hospitals for medical care, and their conditions are currently stable.
