30 Vehicles Damaged in a Vandalism Spree in LA, Police Calls Out For Public Aid

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting assistance from the public as they deal with a spate of vehicle vandalism.

Detectives are now providing information in the hopes that witnesses will come forward after a midday rampage damaged about thirty cars.

As per the LAPD Newsroom, the incidents occurred on December 4, 2023, and continued for like 3 hours.

Using a yellow crowbar, the suspect embarked on a destructive rampage, causing damage along 4th Street, 7th Street, and Westmoreland Boulevard to Virgil Avenue. The series of attacks occurred, leaving vehicles with shattered windows and smashed bodies between noon and three o’clock in the afternoon.

The Olympic Division of the LAPD is leading the search for the vandal. People in the community are encouraged to call the Olympic Area Auto Detectives at 213-382-9370 if they have any information.

Outside of regular business hours, a variety of options are available for anonymous tip submission. Concerned individuals can use the “P-3 Tips” mobile app and designate the LA Regional Crime Stoppers as their local program, or they can call the LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

The vandal is a male and was seen carrying a neon green bag. The witness also informed the police that the man was wearing a Dallas sweatshirt with black pants and black slippers. Authorities believe that more witnesses are yet to come forward.
