San Diego, CA: On Saturday, San Diego County public health officials were investigating the cause of an ailment that infected an estimated 30 people at a Safe Sleeping location.
On Friday, the city of San Diego received complaints of the illness, which produced gastrointestinal symptoms in some of the people who visited the O Lot camping site. The county’s Department of Environmental Health and Quality, along with Public Health Services, responded.
About 370 people are living in 320 tents at O Lot, near the Balboa Park Activity Center. As a precaution, intakes have been halted while the investigation continues.
