3 Million Doses of Fentanyl Busted in Washoe County; 2 Arrested by Authorities
Washoe County, Nevada: Two individuals from the Bay Area have been arrested in Washoe County following an extensive investigation, as stated by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in a recent release.
Two individuals, Luisa-Mariela Cardona-Valle, 27, and Luis Fernando Chavez-Navarro, 22, hailing from San Francisco, have been apprehended following a collaborative effort involving a regional narcotics task force, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, and Nevada State Police.
Throughout the investigation, authorities discovered a significant amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and various firearms, including rifles and handguns.
As per the sheriff’s office, the quantity of fentanyl confiscated in this case is equivalent to around 3.8 million lethal doses, which is roughly seven times the population of Washoe County.
The two suspects are currently in custody at the Washoe County jail, facing multiple felony charges, including the trafficking of a controlled substance weighing over 400 grams.
