3 Injured at New Year’s Eve Shooting Incident in Kokomo
A shooting early on Sunday morning injured three people. The Kokomo Police Department has opened a probe into the shooting.
Responding to a complaint of gunfire near Locke and Madison Streets, KPD officers arrived shortly after 4:30 in the morning.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement officers, they discovered a man shot and bleeding. The man was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his wounds.
The incident resulted in the non-life-threatening injuries of two other shooting victims, a 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. Both of the victims were rushed to the hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.
KPD detectives then investigated the site of the shooting. They executed a search warrant at the victim’s home on the 700 block of N. Locke Street. They discovered three people inside in addition to several hidden firearms and rifles. Detectives discovered evidence connected to this shooting.
The identities of the victims are not released. No arrest has been made by the authorities.
