3 Arrested after Traffic Stop Drug Bust in Humboldt County

Humboldt County, CA: Following an investigation by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), three individuals have been apprehended on charges of sale of narcotics, as reported by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, April 22, 2024, the HCDTF and HSCO Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) executed a search warrant on Albert Boone, 66, of Eureka, according to the HCSO. Agents of the HCDTF reportedly observed Boone traveling from Humboldt County to Oakland, California, during this time.

The HCSO reports that HCDTF agents were awaiting Boone’s return to Humboldt County when they stopped his vehicle as he entered Fortuna as per KrcrTV.

The HCSO reports that HCDTF agents made contact with Emerald Dickens, 37, of Eureka, and Lindsay Kauffman, 39, of McKinleyville, in addition to Boone, while they were inside the vehicle.

The HCSO reports that agents discovered five grams of methamphetamine, two grams of heroin, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and $5,000 in cash inside the vehicle following a search.

Additionally, agents executed a search warrant at the Eureka hotel where Boone was a guest. An external agency issued an active warrant for Dickens, prompting agents to contact her and ultimately transport her to the Humboldt County Jail, according to the HCSO.

Boone was ultimately apprehended and lodged in the Humboldt County Jail on charges of selling a controlled substance, transporting said substance for commercial purposes, and moving such substances between jurisdictions

According to the HCSO, Kauffman was booked for transporting and possessing a controlled substance for sale at the Humboldt County Jail.
